A splendid white
in the kingdom of reds

The enologist found working with this wine fermented in barrels to be a memorable experience: This was caused by the need to be with the wine almost daily during its production over a period of almost five months.

Once the harvesting and pressing of the grapes, mostly Viura and some Malvasia, is finished, the fermentation happens in American oak barrels while keeping the temperature down, which sustains the fruity character of the grapes. This is a careful manual process in our winery.

Something similar happens when the fermentation is complete and it starts to age. We perform the traditional battonage for five months, in order to be able to move the lees and keep them suspended, imparting a greater body and creaminess to the wine. This process is repeated four times a week.

After five months, when we consider that the wine has had enough battonage, we prepare to bottle it, but make sure that it never loses its freshness.

That is why it is so us. It is made with love, papering and thoroughness. That’s why it expresses the best of Rioja white wines.
